Development Work: - Designed and implemented multi-thread based scheduling simulator to schedule real time tasks with end-to-end deadline constraints accompanied with multiple real-time scheduling algorithms using java. - Self-diagnosis in wireless sensor network. Implemented the self-diagnosis embedded applications in telosb mote using nesC based on TinyOS, to self detect the abnormal phenomenon, such as lose of connection, out of battery, happened in the WSN (based on CTP protocol) environment. The useful detecting information was analyzed out of the collected multiple sensor data and wireless network data. Implemented the simulation application by Ruby and nesC based on TOSSIM in TinyOS 1.0 to track the movement trace of the mobile object. - Peer-to-Peer File System Designed and implemented a distributed file system, each node can be treated both as file client and file server, the file update can be done through "pull" and "push" mechanism. Developed the related underlying data structure support and message flooding. - Minix 3 Improvement Implemented the specific shell of Minix, emulated the multi-thread communications for system service Implemented the keyboard driver based on Minix core. Research Work: specialized in tasks scheduling and coordination in distributed and real-time communication and computing(system) within limited resource constraint. Teaching Assistant Work: Provided teaching assistant for computer science course CS 521: Object-Oriented Analysis and Design CS 536: Science of Programming CS 587: Project Management CS 445: Object-Oriented Design and Programming CS 331/401: Data Structure/Introduction to Advanced Studies (Lab Instructor)

Software Engineer Internship
Libertyville, Illinois
- Designed and developed android app to seamlessly scan, connect and display multiple mobile devices (sensor nodes) through various wireless media such as BT, Wifi, CoAP protocols for Internet of Things (IoT) applications. (The app finally became a foundation for Moto internal app “Minerva”) - Designed and developed android app to record different sensors and retrieve sensor data based on defined frequency for internal debugging purpose.
