Martijn Flinterman is a sociologist, specialised in how organizations deal with safety. In addition to his advisory work for the management of Rijkswaterstaat Major Projects and Maintenance, he contributes to books and magazine articles on safety through Vakmedianet and Sdu as an author and reviewer and is active as a sociological researcher. This interest arose during a course at the graduate school of TU Delft. He is also active as an internship supervisor at Rijkswaterstaat and as a student and group supervisor and he regularly gives presentations on his specialty.
