Meysam Nazari

Meysam’s research background and interests are in renewable energy, energy efficiency management for building using PLC (programmable logic controller), automation and control of facilities by precise instrument and high-tech monitoring system, advanced nano-sized additives in thermal engineering, efficient solar water heaters, heat transfer and cooling systems, mechanical installations maintenance system, advanced air conditioning systems. His research interests root in his enthusiasm to enhance the serviceability life and reduce the cost of residential and industrial building facilities and move toward zero-energy and green houses. He always tries to build a successful and valuable collaboration between the university and the industry. In his research experiences, he has applied a deeper understanding of science and engineering to multi-disciplinary projects like training and hands-on experience in heat transfer, solar energy and cooling in power transformers by nanoparticles. Many years of successful research as an engineer and energy saving expert at research and development centers was a foundation to build excellent problem-solving and project managing capability. This unique blend of industrial/academic experience and education has led to the delivery of high-tech design and implementation of industrial projects. Meysam's main current project is the residential building scale renewable energies such as mini wind turbines and solar water heaters; he is working on the development of a range of advanced materials including specific Nano coatings for efficient flat plate collector solar water heater. He has extensive experience in project management, developing opportunities, translating market insights into practice, and commercializing new technology and methods at a large industrial scale. He has developed several technology-based processes (up to pilot scales) and products (up to prototypes) and also directed industrial-scale projects.
