Meredith Ford

Principal Program Manager (Fandom) @ Jagex: The RuneScape Company

About

I’m Meredith, a Principal Programme Manager leading the Fandom Programme for RuneScape, spanning live events, brand partnerships and merchandise. I’m responsible for defining and delivering the overarching strategy for how our IP shows up beyond the game, creating experiential, high-impact touchpoints that deepen player connection, strengthen brand equity and build long-term community value. I thrive in roles where strategy meets execution. I lead cross-functional teams to turn ambitious ideas into meaningful fan experiences that elevate brand equity, strengthen community and extend reach. Whether through large-scale live events, carefully crafted collaborations or thoughtfully developed merch, my focus is always the same: creating moments that resonate and turn players into brand advocates. My background spans programme management across marketing, partnerships, brand management and communications, with a proven track record of delivering complex, high-visibility initiatives. I specialise in building strong internal and external stakeholder relationships, aligning diverse teams around a shared vision, and bringing structure to creative ambition. Some of the cool things I’ve done so far in my career: • Was Project Lead on the Event of the Year-nominated RuneFest 2025, returning after 6 years to host 3,500 attendees and sell out in 30 seconds • Now lead the overall strategy for RuneScape’s Fandom Programme, integrating live events, partnerships and merchandise into a cohesive community vision • Successfully managed the launch of 3 games on PC and console • Became the primary contact for RuneScape's presence on mobile with Apple and Google • Collaborated with charity partners at RuneFest to create an immersive community experience, smashing fundraising targets • In a previous life in book publishing, identified novels in the ‘slush pile’ (submissions inbox) that went on to be Sunday Times bestsellers or win major literary prizes • At Wondersphere, worked with grant-giving charitable foundations to shape their brand strategy and communication with scholars My strengths lie in deriving clarity from chaos, creating alignment and buy-in across a wide range of personalities, and empowering creative teams with the right processes and tools to bring bold ideas to life. I lead with strategic intent and a deep respect for the IP in my care, ensuring every initiative strengthens the franchise, serves our community and contributes to long-term brand value.
