Responsible for providing policy analysis and advice to Commissioner Adrian Garcia on housing, community development, homelessness, veterans and economic development issues.

Manage the development and execution of all Chamber initiatives, including robust public affairs and communications campaigns, legislative advocacy, and community outreach efforts. Additionally, create and implement strategic communications and marketing plans that convey one key message on all platforms - social media, email, website, and the Chamber's TV and radio programs. Handle all government relations and public policy relations issues, including publicly endorsing legislation favorable to the Hispanic and business community. Lead communications strategies to promote all chamber initiatives, including the HHCC Annual Luncheon & Business Expo, which had an attendance record of 2,000 people. Executed all aspects of the production for the luncheon leading up to and the day of the event.

As the public affairs specialist for the Houston Apartment Association (HAA) I develop and implement strategic planning efforts for HAA's public affairs and government relations goals. I worked closely with the media and community stakeholders to strengthen the relationships of the multifamily industry with the public through interviews, social media outlets and other grassroots efforts including phone banks and community meetings. I was the lead staff on fundraising efforts for HAA's Better Government Fund PAC. I was also responsible for organizing and facilitating meetings and events to inform HAA members of industry updates.

Completed an intensive executive leadership program focused on strategy, innovation, and organizational transformation. Developed tools to lead with impact, strengthen decision-making, and adapt to today’s rapidly changing business and public sector environment.
