Managed 6 engineering teams (50 engineers across 8 geographies in Europe and the US) responsible for the development of the cybersecurity product line. Led the engineering organisation behind Verimatrix XTD (Extended Threat Defense: mobile, web, and desktop application protection), the cybersecurity asset acquired by Guardsquare in late 2025 / early 2026. As Senior Director, I reported to the CTO and served as the primary liaison between engineering and the business (product management, finance, sales, support, marketing, product security). I also led exploratory R&D and managed technological partnerships. Led the AWS Security & Compliance Specialist Architects for the EMEA region.    We assisted enterprise clients in designing and integrating security into their cloud assets while ensuring compliance: identity and authentication management, authorization and resource/role-based access, encryption, recovery, DDoS prevention, observability, and regulatory compliance. My team of 12 architects across 5 countries was diverse in background (networking, security, compliance, software development) and included former engineering directors and CTOs. I provided guidance on complex aspects of security and compliance, selecting the right mix of individuals to tackle specific large-scale projects. During my tenure the team doubled in size, and we launched several internal and external training programs including a new AI-based security topic. Featured guest on Le podcast AWS en français (Ep. 109, 2022) on cloud security and compliance for AI/ML projects.

Oversaw the development and maintenance of data pipelines for content identification and tagging. These pipelines powered machine-learning models for ad targeting and fraud detection at the scale of millions of users. Led the enterprise data-platform team, enabling real-time data updates across services. Expanded the team by 50% (6 new hires over 12 months), reaching 12 engineers.

I founded and led a data science and engineering team. The team focused on data analysis, modeling, software development, and automation of data products at Akamai, including product recommendation engines, traffic analysis, predictive algorithms, customer intelligence, and insights.

I built and led a team that assessed the performance of various CDN components, including applications, caches, DNS load balancers, as well as real-time and post-processing data analytics systems. Our mission was to make operators' deployment activities predictable and resilient from a performance perspective.

Led a team of software engineers (junior to senior level) building UI-based configuration tools and REST APIs for CDN management. Built Property Manager, the configuration console serving 90% of Akamai customers. It is used daily by thousands of internal and external users for both routine and critical configuration changes. The CDN configuration templates and artifacts ship in tens of thousands of configurations, impacting caching and internet traffic management for major content providers and clients globally.

As a product architect, I was responsible for the design and development of Akamai's customer-facing web interface. My primary focus was on the configuration components that enable Akamai customers to set up their performance, optimization, and security requirements. The goal of these components is to enhance empowerment and provide Akamai's platform features to thousands of internal and external users every day.

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, I was the technical lead for major telecom operators in the EMEA region, helping them develop their CDN technical strategy and supporting the presales process for Akamai's operator products (licensed and managed CDN).

As a Senior Technical Project Manager, I was responsible for managing the delivery of Akamai's performance and mobile adaptation products to our top clients worldwide. These projects involved a multicultural environment with solution architects, support engineers, and product management, as well as client interaction and consulting activities.

Established the target architecture for Orange's content delivery networks for short- and medium-term deployment, supporting B2B and B2C offerings. This work led to the filing of multiple patents in IPTV and content distribution. Also responsible for the technical evaluation of CDN technologies and the promotion of France Télécom's strategy in international standardisation organisations (ETSI, ITU, IETF, 3GPP). Presented over 150 technical contributions on behalf of Orange, ranging from provider network architecture interfaces to residential network interfaces.

Doctoral research engineer (CIFRE-style industrial PhD with France Télécom R&D). Developed methods and metrics to evaluate the impact of changes on system architecture from both functional and technical perspectives, inspired by Model-Driven Engineering. Output included multiple peer-reviewed publications and the foundations of the standardisation work I led from 2006 onward.
