About
A higher educational professional, with 10+ years experience, I am responsible for analyzing and synthesizing information to generate actionable programs and strategies that contribute directly to student success, persistence, and retention, academic success and career transition. This involves creating programing to support students transitioning into and within higher education. I have a Masters of Communications and Technology from the University of Alberta. I earned my MBTI Certification and Strong Interest Inventory, additionally I have recently started my Certificate in project management. My background includes working with prospective students, current students, and alumni. I am a firm believer in life long learning and this is reflected in my own continued learning and how I work with students, prospective and alumni. My goal is to engage students and establish strategies and goals to develop a path to success. I was an active member and leader of the University of Alberta Alumni Council, working on the Awards Committee and Chairing the Volunteer Committee. As a member of the UofA Alumni Council I had many opportunities to lead volunteers, continue my student engagement and address alumni in their convocation speech both in person and virtually. Additionally, I have over 10+ years of experience working with the Government of Alberta in Advance Education, Grant MacEwan University and NAIT in a variety of student success related roles.
