This role was in upstream oil and gas infrastructure as a Construction Manager for the Exxon Kearl Oil Sands Froth Treatment Plant Expansion Project (KEP) a role in which I was tasked to successfully plan and coordinate the deployment of resources into the field from design concept through module construction and into field installation. As the Engineering and Contract Administration Manager for both the KEP Project and for its predecessor the Kearl Initial Development project. My role evolved to ensure change was understood, captured, detailed and negotiated with our client at the management and executive level.

Coordinated both design and construction estimating teams for the NE Anthony Henday Drive pursuit. Ultimately responsible for estimating approach, costing data, strategic positioning of bid, risk analysis and bid closeout. Team consisted of six internal Kiewit companies, Parsons Engineering, Terracon, McElhanney, Delcan and Macquarrie.

Part of the planning group preparing for the construction of the ENMAX Shepard Energy Centre 800MW natural gas fired generation plant. Responsible for staff, equipment, financial, permit and mobilization planning.

Played an integral role in the Request-for-Proposal (RFP) component of the Stoney Plain/Anthony Henday Drive Design-Build project. Upon award was the construction manager responsible for overall construction on this $170-million project for Alberta Transportation. Involved in planning, scheduling, man power, and equipment decision making. Tasks included coordinating the estimate, contracts review, subcontractor management and internal team selection and management.

Supervised the overall design direction of the highway and interchange portions of the $200-million Pitt River Bridge and Maryhill Bypass Design-Build project. Involved in geotechnical, highway interchange structure, highway geometric, drainage, utility, and electrical design. Coordinated the approach to traffic staging and detours. Managed public communication plans in coordination with the Ministry of Transportation.

Design engineer working on geotechnical engineering projects. Focus of work on oil and gas installations, highway infrastructure and industrial/commercial buildings.

On-site project engineer overseeing the installation of specialty foundations across the greater Toronto area. Functional responsibilities included time and material tracking, scheduling, equipment selection and management, change orders, and technical engineering.
