Established DFARS, DISA SRG Level 5, and ITAR Compliant Computing Environments. Researched, created and administered procedures for efficient day-to-day operations for the laboratory. Grown the laboratory and refined our research, engineering and quality assurance processes to a level needed for larger-scale commercial and DoD programs.

Established the Software Design and Productivity R&D Laboratory, with $1M expenditure per year. Directly managed 20+ research personnel, including senior engineers, scientists, and postdoctoral and Ph.D. researchers. Responsible for sustaining the financial health of the laboratory, recruitment, retention and sustainment of the workforce.

Leading several R&D projects with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS). In particular designed the underlying technical solutions for the National Vulnerability Intelligence Platform (NVIP), Sole PI, Amount: $ 440,294, Duration: 2019-2021

Lead CRUISE project on Cyber Vulnerability Assessments of System Requirements Specifications

Leading R&D Effort on An Architecture-Centric Verification and Reasoning Approach For Resilient Systems, Sole PI, Amount: $619,034.

Responsible for the institution’s overall research administration and engagement. Providing strategic direction on the institute’s research goals, public and private sector engagement, and supporting GCI faculty and interdisciplinary research laboratories.

Research interests focused on software architecture and requirements engineering and their influence on various software development concerns. Particularly I worked on software development issues in security and safety critical domains, performance centric and dependable software.

Designed the underlying architecture of various R&D products, created MVPs, and software infrastructures with Technology Readiness Level TRL 8 and higher. Lead multiple large product vision and roadmaps, directing product launches through writing product and market requirements document. Managed large and complex problems which required a concerted effort across a large group of senior stakeholders from corporations, academia and government agencies.

Expert consultant or expert witness in various cases involving intellectual property of software artifacts. Areas of expertise: Patent infringement; Copyright infringement; Breach of Contract, software trade secret misappropriation, reverse engineering and software forensic.
