* Undertook a significant component in the experimental data collection for an international project to investigate the structure of the cognitive reading system, under the supervision of Dr Rob Davies * Developed programming Skills to construct an experimental reading task * Organised participant recruitment and testing * Completed test sessions following agreed experimental protocol * Transcribed reading responses using sound spectrogram analysis * Developed introductory skills in advanced modelling techniques (linear mixed-effects models) * Preparation of a poster to report the results of the study at a meeting of the Experimental Psychology Society (UCL, January 2017)

As well as studying the work of some of the greatest psychological thinkers in history, I have been actively involved in conducting current novel studies.The first two years the degree covers a range of topics thereby introducing me to several broad themes, including cognitive Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology and Neuropsychology. In first year, i developed foundations for appreciating good research techniques and strategies, which will eventually help you to carry out my own studies.In second year, I built on the topics already studied in order to gain a sound background in all the essential areas of Psychology required for the British Psychological Society’s Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership. In my final year, I will be specialising in Clinical Psychology and Typical and Atypical development. My individual specialism for my final year research project is Cognitive Neuropsychology.
