I am a research professional with over 10 years of experience in a broad range of research projects. My main expertise is cell therapy and have held roles that have encompassed both pre-clinical and clinical research in cell therapy. Before I transitioned to clinical research, I worked for almost seven years in pre-clinical research developing cell therapies for solid tumors, including TCR, CAR-T, and TIL based cell therapies. Currently, I serve as the lead clinical research coordinator for multiple cell therapy Multiple Myeloma trials where I strive to ensure patient safety and well-being, while maintaining a high standard of data integrity. I have a drive to accomplish high quality research and work in roles that help serve human health and well-being. I am extremely detail-oriented, adaptable, and thrive in fast-paced environments.

Member of Dr. Philip Greenberg's laboratory (Clinical Research Division, Program in Immunology) where I helped develop novel TCR T-cell therapies for various cancers, including leukemia, pancreatic, and ovarian cancer. I specifically worked on a project screening, developing and characterizing new T-cell receptors that recognize multiple cancer-related antigens and mutations, including WT1, Cyclin-A1, and KRAS. I also helped develop these TCR therapies for multiple HLA types, allowing these kinds of therapies to reach a broader set of the population. ● Stimulated and screened donor CD8+ T cells for endogenous immune responses to cancer antigens- specifically TCR discovery focused on WT1, Cyclin-A1, and KRAS peptides in multiple HLA types. ● Performed functional testing of specific TCRs in primary CD8+ T cells, including cytokine release assays, tumor cell line responses, and killing assays. ● Generated specific TCR T cells for safety experiments in mice and performed immunoassays of mouse blood and tissues to investigate T cell behavior in healthy mice in preparation for future human trials. ● Optimized qPCR analysis of DNA expression of cancer antigens in tumor cell lines. ● Compiled and analyzed large data sets of cellular functional data. First member of Dr. Ann Miller’s lab where we study RhoGTPase regulation of cell division using Xenopus laevis. My project utilized live and fixed cell imaging, protein interaction assays, and microtubule manipulations to study Centralspindlin localization at the equatorial cell cortex. I managed all aspects of the lab operations including maintaining lab inventory and supply orders, undergraduate and graduate training and guidance, laboratory safety compliance, and animal care (and have been known to clean and thaw out a freezer a time or two). In addition, I had various research projects where I piloted new techniques for the lab and uncovered novel molecular mechanisms involving cell division. Accomplishments: ● In December 2013, presented poster “Xenopus MgcRacGAP is stabilized at the plus tips of equatorial astral microtubules via an EB1 binding motif” at American Society of Cell Biologists Meeting in New Orleans, LA, which showed how Centralspindlin may be able to localize at the cleavage furrow via microtubules. ● Pioneered various unpublished techniques including monopolar spindle generation in an intact cell epithelium and GST pulldowns with X. laevis embryos. ● Gave research talk for University of Michigan Cytoskeleton Group in June 2013. ● Helped recruit and train four graduate students for PI’s first independent lab. ● Setup lab ordering system and records and wrote various SOPs during lab startup. Adept in: microinjection, SDS-PAGE protein analysis, protein immunoblots, fluorescence imaging including confocal imaging of live cells, mRNA synthesis, protein purification, in vitro protein interaction assays, PCR and qPCR, DNA/RNA extractions, sequencing, cloning techniques, sterile tissue culture, spectrometry, centrifugation, staining and imaging of fixed cells, analysis of complex imaging data (Velocity, ImageJ). Member of Dr. Clay Carter’s lab where I investigated hormonal regulation of nectar production and secretion. Uncovered novel regulation of nectar secretion by PIN6, an auxin transport protein. Accomplishments: ● First author publication “PIN6 is required for nectary auxin response and short stamen development” featured on the cover of The Plant Journal in June 2013. ● Presented thesis work at the Biology Departmental Seminar, May 2011. ● Developed novel plant culturing assays that assessed hormonal influence on nectar secretion. On a daily basis I performed various molecular biology techniques including: RT-PCR, qPCR, RNA isolation, DNA isolation, molecular cloning, as well as plant tissue culture techniques of Arabidopsis thaliana and Brassica rapa.
