I was part of the design team helping to prepare for the up and coming menswear A/W 2014 collection. I helped build a concept for the collection through various methods of research. I was responsible for fabric sourcing, design work, quality control and sampling the garments.

As part of the buying team I sourced new designers to liaise with and assisted in getting their exclusive collections in Shot and uploaded to the website to be sold. I contacted wholesalers in order to start a new line of clothing for the company. I managed samples and arranged production. I oversaw all the buying process for the company with assistance from the company director.

I worked within the buying team at the head office where I learnt about critical path management, managing stock levels and performed analysis on the best and worst sellers of the product range.

I worked as a fashion design assistant, my daily role included Designing clothing, packaging and accessories, meeting prep and trend research. I regularly attended meetings with clients and management to discuss costing, design and potential new product developments. Our client base is heavily Primark, Penney’s, Peacocks, Topshop and River Island based so I am gained a varied but strong knowledge of design for the high street.

I have been working at Sun Tekstil for seven weeks as part of the design team. The company is a supplier and manufacturer for many high street retailers such as Zara, Tesco and Next. I have been doing various tasks such as fitting session for gold seal garments, filling lab dips, meeting prep, market product research, fabric selection for garments and CAD designs for garments.

I have been working at Jaeger as a sales assistant. I have been in charge of visual merchandising and been dealing with deliveries and consolidations. I have been assessing best and worst sellers, working on AVT’s and improving UPT’s. I have gained extensive product knowledge and trained in link selling. I have taken on this role to further my retail experience and build of my knowledge for my future buying career.

I am currently working in a small team designing for many high street brands including Zara, Topshop and Newlook. I am using CAD to design a variety of simple to more complex garments. we mainly specialize in jersey.

I studied all aspects of fashion from design , manufacture , contextual fashion studies, pattern cutting and fashion C.A.D. Activities and Societies: Burlesque Society

At leeds college of Art I studied my national diploma in Fashion Design . I learnt to pattern cut and use industrial machines we also heavily studied fashion history.
