I am currently the primary safety and environmental personnel with Newfound Construction Limited. This year I have worked with Newfound as a subcontractor with Newfoundland Light and Power in the demolition of the old penstock and the development of the new Fiberglass Penstock located in Pierre’s Brook, Witless Bay. Also, we were subcontracted to the Department of Transportation and Works to construct a bailey bridge for the community of St. Alban’s this past year in which case I was responsible for road sign design and development of safe work practices and procedures in the construction of the bridge. Among this role, I also assisted in admin duties such as account payable and recieveables , keeping a up-to-date training matrix on all employees and various spreadsheet track records. However, this job is a seasonal position; like most construction, work tends to slow down when the ground gets hard and the snow comes. For that reason, i am seeking a full time permadent position. I will also take into consideration a contracted position depending on length of contract.

Responsible for: developing programs such as Confined Space Entry and Fall Protection, approved by WHSCC(i.e student manual, instructor manual, and power point presentation), as well as developing procedures to enter into various confined spaces and providing rescue plans with each entry, and have written company manuals for Asbestos Abatement. I also actively participate in course training certifications, conduct fit testing, site inspections, noise testing, develop policies and procedures, and review legislation. Also, assisting with administrative duties such as; setting up classrooms for training, answering phone calls and registering clients for training.
