Hey, I'm Meg! The words "creative" and "accountant" seldom go in the same sentence. No one wants their accountant getting creative with the numbers, right?! I couldn't agree more. However, after years of managing financial transactions, statements, reviewing contracts, and managing budgets, I felt the need to explore my creative side. In 2014, I stumbled upon Painting with a Twist for a fun evening. It was a refreshing change from the typical bar scene that always seemed to end the same way. Instead, it provided me with an opportunity to meet new people, laugh out loud, and express myself creatively - something my life didn't always allow. I started attending regularly, sometimes with friends, and sometimes by myself, making new friends. Over time, I got to know the team and eventually joined them as an instructor. When the owners decided to sell, I felt a calling. Despite my initial fear, I knew it was the right time to turn my dream into a reality. During the day, I work as a project manager coordinator and construction accountant at SheetMetal Crafters at Standard Plumbing & Heating. This role allows me to utilize my strong organizational and financial skills to manage projects and ensure smooth operations. In the evenings and on weekends, I'm proud to be the franchise owner of Painting with a Twist in North Canton, Ohio. It's a privilege to bring joy and creativity to others through art, while also managing the business aspects to ensure its success. Throughout my career journey, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. I'm excited to continue growing and sharing my insights along the way. I am a mom to two teenage boys. They occasionally make me scratch my head, but they also bring me a lot of joy.
