In December 2017 I transitioned to an engineering manager role in NVIDIA's CUDA Driver group. I received a subsequent promotion in June 2020 as my managerial responsibilities continued to expand. In April 2024 I was promoted to a Senior Manager role. My team and I focus on the design and implementation of the CUDA driver, runtime, and compute programming model. Core technical areas of management responsibility: - CUDA Driver's memory model, APIs, features related to scaling workloads across multiple physical memories. This area of focus spans Windows, WSL, and Linux. - CUDA user-mode driver design and development for future NVIDIA hardware on Linux, Windows, and WSL. - The CUDA Driver for Windows - this includes all core OS feature work including compliance with new WDDM versions, virtualization, performance, and the design & implementation of new CUDA features on Windows. - The CUDA Driver for Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) - In addition to engineering management of the CUDA Driver, I also manage a DevOps team that supports the larger CUDA organization

I joined NVIDIA in August 2015 as an IC2 system software engineer working on the MacOS OpenCL driver. I began working on the cross-platform CUDA driver six months later and contributed to NVIDIA's kernel-mode Unified Virtual Memory (UVM) driver. During this time, I worked on both functional and performance aspects of the UVM driver. In October 2016 I was promoted to an IC3 senior system software engineer and took on a leadership role within my group. I became a team lead for CUDA features related to GPU work submission and memory management. In October 2017 I was promoted to an IC4 role performing similar duties. I transitioned out of this role in December 2017 and became the Engineering Manager of my team.

My primary responsibility in this role was researching the benefits of various OpenCL optimizations for Qualcomm's Adreno GPU. I have implemented these optimizations at the source code level and also in the OpenCL compiler. My LLVM experience includes writing custom LLVM analysis and optimization passes as well as adding new preprocessor pragmas to Clang. In addition to my compiler work, I have also contributed to Qualcomm's multimedia libraries by implementing and optimizing several OpenCL applications. These applications are used in current and upcoming Qualcomm devices.

Provided IT consulting, administration and support services to both medical offices and law offices. Key responsibilities included: - Making decisions on system and network infrastructure. - IT product procurement and installation. - IT maintenance and support.

During my time with IBM I provided remote and in-person customer support for IBM enterprise storage products and their accompanying software stacks. My primary responsibilities included fixing broken customer environments, addressing performance problems and developing related software tools. I also travelled to customer sites in order to build relationships and make recommendations regarding current and future customer storage infrastructures.
