Utilized mine planning software (e.g., Surpac, Deswik, Benchview, WencoDB) to create pit designs, production schedules, and sequencing of mining activities. Conducted detailed pit optimization studies to maximize ore recovery, minimize waste generation, and optimize haulage distances. Collaborated with geologists, mining engineers, and operational teams to integrate geological models and operational constraints into mine plans. Implemented cost-effective strategies to improve mine productivity and reduce operating costs while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. Managed and updated mine schedules to achieve production targets, balancing ore grade, and stockpile management. >>Drill and blast Engineering: •Provided drill pattern design and blast design for multiple pits area using Surpac & SHOTPlus. •OPDB designing through Deswik •Liaised with Geologists, Geotechnical Engineers, Production and Drill and Blast team to prepare a tie-in plan with the aim of wall control and stability of a rock wall and good fragmentation. •Managing the drill and blast function to ensure drilled and blasted stocks are maintained to achieve mining targets. •Short-term pit planning and scheduling. •Coordinated production scheduling and activities with all team members. >>Blast Crew: •Completed more than 80 shifts as a blast crew member and worked with the QA department, gained experience in priming and loading blast holes, marking up drill patterns, checking drilling depths as well as stemming depth, and various other activities associated with the safe and secure blasting operations on site, tie in the shot with nonel and ikon detonators, use of loggers and firing gear, pre-splitting the final wall and internal ramp wall.
