Maya Enriquez
Design And Development Engineer @ Microwave Power Products (MPP)
About
I recently graduated from San José State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, focusing on design and mechatronics. Throughout my academic career, I gained hands-on experience in mechanical design, manufacturing, and systems integration through both coursework and extracurricular leadership. As President and Mechanical Lead of the SJSU Robotics Club, I led a team of over 50 students in developing a Mars rover for the University Rover Competition. My responsibilities included coordinating across multiple engineering teams, reviewing critical mechanical designs, and ensuring successful system integration. My education included courses in CAD, finite element analysis (FEA), mechatronics, and mechanical systems design, which helped me build strong skills in Onshape, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, and technical drawing. Combined with hands-on experience in machining, 3D printing, and rapid prototyping, I’ve developed a practical and adaptable engineering mindset. I am currently seeking a full-time position where I can contribute to impactful, real-world projects and continue to grow as a mechanical engineer.
