🔧 Engineering foundation I work at the intersection of advanced engineering and patent law, translating complex technical concepts into clear, defensible intellectual property - both in prosecution and litigation. ✈️ Technical background I am trained as a mechanical engineer, with hands-on experience in complex hardware systems, energy technology, and multidisciplinary engineering. Earlier in my career, I worked at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), where my focus included aircraft engine components, turbomachinery, heat transfer, and numerical simulation. 📐 What I work on today Building on this background, I advise on patent prosecution and contentious matters, including oppositions, appeals, and litigation-related technical analysis. My work spans mechanical engineering, aerospace, energy systems, and other technically demanding fields where design choices, parameters, and physical effects are decisive. 🧠 How I think about patents I am particularly interested in how technical effects are formulated, how problem–solution reasoning is constructed, and how drafting decisions made early on can later determine the outcome in examination, opposition, or litigation.
