The Deputy Director Teaching and Learning (Commerce), under the direction of the Deputy Head of School and in conjunction with the Director of Teaching and Learning, oversees a suite of related School Programs (Commerce Suite) and ensures the development and delivery of these are of high quality and providing a positive student learning and engagement experience.

The Program Leader role is an important academic service role in the School; working with the Associate Directors of Education (ADoE) to ensure that the teaching programs of the School are maintained to a high level of quality. The Head of School entrusts the Program Leaders with the responsibility of promoting their respective programs and supporting the quality assurance measures associated with the program’s accreditation. Program Leaders may assist with supporting and/or advising on the implementation of School policies with respect to the assurance of teaching and learning outcomes, and play an advisory role in the review and development of course and program content for the program.

I am filling in for the incumbent during a period of extended leave.

The role of the Digital Learning Sub-Committee is to advise and make recommendations to the Teaching and Learning Committee on the adoption, configuration, integration and best practices for use of educational technologies to improve UQ learner engagement and outcomes.

My role was part of the specialist practice development group for services to professional services firms (including the area of legal services in relation to the implementation and development and integration of practice management systems). I also provided advice and support to the partnership in the administration of the practice’s information systems and managed the systems consulting team.

I acted as a consultant in the areas of information systems strategy, software and technology selection, software development, and general IT Advice. I also provided advice and support to the partnership in the administration of the practice’s information systems.

Provided support and accounting assistance to the annual audit of the School. Prepared financial statements in preparation for the audit.
