PROJECT MANAGER HOT/COLD ROLLING  As a Project Manager I am responsible for developing each project since the basic concept, pre project preparation, project and budged presentation, engineering development, technical specifications, technical negotiations with suppliers, budget control, erection supervision, commissioning supervision, final testing and hand over to production.  Relevant Project 2019/2021 – 32.5 MM USD: Hot Skinpass Mill (Primetals, Japan/Austria) within Ternium expansion plan known as Pesquería 2. This line will process 960 thousand ton/year of hot rolled steel strip with thickness range from 1.5 to 12mm. I led a team of international engineers, with notable participation on steering and engineering meetings at Hiroshima and Linz during 2018 and 2019, and main mechanical equipment expediting at Tianjin at China First Heavy Industry on Nov 2019. The line is currently under construction, first coil date is 09/01/21.  Relevant Project 2018 – 7.7 MM USD: Acid tank modernization and exhaust system revamping on the Continuous Pickling Line #2, Guerrero Plant. (C&E Plastics, USA / Tenova, Italy). This Project scope was to reach new environmental standards on one of the more productive pickling lines of the Ternium system (circa one million tons/yr). For this, three new 25m long polypropylene tanks were installed. We also implemented a new closed loop automatic steam control and fire protection systems. The new exhaust system included duct work, demister, scrubber fans and stack. This whole project was implemented on 20 days of down time of the line + 6 months of preparations.  Relevant Project 2017 – 1.2 MM USD: Increase of H2-Annealing capacity (LOI, USA / Ebner, Austria) minimizing the amount of the investment. This was achieved by using the existing bases with old and new vertical furnaces, and so reducing the idle furnace times. The increase of production was 57.6 Thousand Ton/yr.

 Project Manager for Capital Investments. 2013 – 2016 • As a Project Manager I am responsable for developing each project since the basic concept, pre project preparation, project and budged presentation, engineering development, techinical specifications, technical negociations with suppliers, budget control, erection supervision, commissioning supervision, final testing and hand over to production. • Remark on Project: New Cutoff and Beveling machines for seamless pipes 5-16”. Includes Automatic tool changer, 200% frequency sample rings recovery, expected minimum cycle time 28sec. Bdg 6 MUSD.

 Hot Rolling Technologist – Continuous Seamless Steel Tube Mill, OD range: 5 - 16” 2007 – 2013 • Failure Analysis both for technical problems in the line as for quality issues. • Design and manage changes in tooling for improving performance, reduce tooling stock and improvement of dimensional tolerance on the finished products. • Design and development of new products for conduction, exploration and production of oil and gas projects. Including Deep and Ultradeep water, SAGD, 3% Chromium, Sour Service. • Design and startup of systems and technologies to improve the quality and performance of the mill. Such as mathematical models, key variable monitoring systems, on line dimensional measuring. • Continuous reduction of quality KPIs such as Rejection and CND Indications. • Active participation and leadership of Continuous Improvement Task Groups.
