Mission Statement INTA’s Right of Publicity Committee develops and advocates the Association’s policy regarding the right of publicity. The committee monitors developments in treaties, case law, legislation, and implementation in various jurisdictions, and completes analyses and proposes policy recommendations to the Board. Committee work includes report and submission writing, interaction with right of publicity organizations, and advocacy in conjunction with relevant Association committees and staff.

Coordinates the creation of research projects and studies that support INTA’s policy and communications activities. Examples of studies that the committee might work on include reports on trademark filing activity, a study on the impact of trademarks and brands on the economy of a particular jurisdiction, or the economic impact of branding. The committee will liaise with committees in the Advocacy, Communications, and Resources Groups to assess needs for such studies and will work with internal or external resources to conduct or commission the study. Finally the committee will advise on the publication and communication of the study.

New to INTA’s committee structure, the Building Bridges Committee will focus on building bridges with organizations, both within the IP community and beyond it, that have influence over legal, consumer, and public interest matters in order to create sustainable positive relationships, to promote the value of trademarks and related rights, and to facilitate the advancement of INTA's Strategic Plan. The Committee will review bridge-building opportunities and help the Association to set priorities, including recommending organizations in the IP world and beyond it to be approached on issues identified by the INTA leadership; the appropriate strategy and tactics to be employed; and ways to measure success.
