About
Graduating with Distinction in a Master of Arts (MA) and First-Class Honours in a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Games Design from Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU), I have honed a strong foundation in games design, with a specialisation in content creation, narrative design, level design, and production. Throughout my time at CCCU, I utilised industry-standard tools such as Unreal Engine, Miro, Jira, and Blender to design, program, and produce various projects, gaining valuable hands-on experience in each aspect of the development process. I thrive in collaborative environments but am equally adept at taking initiative and working independently. With over 16 years of work experience across a diverse range of industries, I have developed strong soft skills, including communication, teamwork, and problem-solving. I excel in creating, maintaining, and presenting essential design documentation and am comfortable communicating with different stakeholders throughout the development cycle. I am actively seeking opportunities as a Game Designer, particularly in content design roles within the games industry. Let’s connect—I look forward to beginning my professional journey in the games industry with you!

Education

Games Design
During my Master of Arts (MA) in Games Design at Canterbury Christ Church University, I explored a range of theoretical and practical aspects of game development. Key modules included Collaborative Practice, where I developed project management and teamwork skills through collaborative projects, and Thinking Like a Game Designer, which focused on game mechanics, player interaction, and prototyping. The Digital Game Development Essentials module sharpened my technical abilities with tools like Unreal Engine, while I learned to create indie game prototypes. My studies culminated in the Final Major Project, where I applied my skills to a large-scale, multi-disciplinary game design project, preparing me for problem-solving, designing and producing in the games industry.

Art/Art Studies, General
I have spent the majority of my degree honing my skills in design, with a particular interest in table-top games. I have a strong skillset in iterative design and enjoy creating design ideas for both strict and loose design briefs. I possess a broad digital skillset, including intermediate skills in Blender, Unity, the Adobe Suite, and the Office Suite. Additionally, I have been actively involved in extracurricular activities, holding ambassador, mentorship, and exhibitioner roles. Furthermore, I have participated in two major events on the UK games industry calendar to exhibit my work from my final year of study. These events included exhibiting at Insomnia: the Gaming Festival and the UK Games Expo. At these events I was involved in networking with many industry professionals.
