Undergraduate work for Professor Mats Hansson and Professor Lars Hederstedt. * Responsibilities * Research on haem biosynthesis in B. subtilis. * Achievements * By serendipity and keen observation I solved my tasks and thus contributed to the project. I * developed a B. subtilis over-expression system for the enzyme HemY and was the one who * found that HemY is a membrane protein. The findings were published in a second author * article in Biochemica et Biophysica Acta (article 20). * Wrote and defended my undergraduate thesis.
