I provide financial and legal support to the investment team including diligence, documentation, and portfolio impact. I am responsible for overseeing the administrative services that back up and support the firm’s investment operations including accounting, investor reporting, legal documentation, valuations, financial statement preparation, cash flow management and strategic decision making. I lead the financial due diligence on our investments and ultimate provide my perspective on our investment decisions as a member of the firms Investment Committee. I act as CFO of our early stage portfolio companies and support their growth as they raise funds.

As Director of Finance at CoPower Inc., a company that operates at the intersection of fintech and cleantech, my work encompassed three distinct responsibilities: corporate finance, asset management and investment performance analysis. I was responsible for building the finance and accounting functions from the ground up and ultimately supporting the company’s acquisition by Vancity Community Investment Bank in 2019. I provided a corporate finance view to management's strategic decision making. I lead the cash flow, budget and return analysis process. I also approved and prepared financial statements and addressed questions from stakeholders on company performance. I was involved in the structuring of CoPower private debt and equity funds. This included preparing and reviewing financial models as well as performing portfolio risk analysis. I participated in Investment Committee discussions and evaluate portfolio impact of new projects. Once the projects were deployed I provided asset management services. I evaluated product performance (loans and bonds) and prepare performance metrics to be presented to investors on CoPower’s online investment platform.
