For the past two summers, I have worked in construction alongside my father as we rebuilt my uncle's new home in South Bend, Indiana. This was certainly one of the most beneficial work experiences I have ever been able to partake in! Not only was I getting to work with my dad to offer a new living space for my uncle, but I was also able to gain great experience. Some of the big tasks over the summer included; rewiring the electric circuits, installing hardwood flooring, and refurbishing the ceiling tiles. All of these tasks certainly engaged and improved my teamwork skills as well as my relationship with my father. -Constructed a living space for my uncle, inspiring me with the impact of hard work -Coached well by my father in the line of work and its tasks, granting me great insights to how successful teamwork is achieved and executed -Observed and performed the redesigning of a house, obtaining great general knowledge of how a house or any building is operated and is maintained

Throughout my high school years, I volunteered extensively as a teacher assistant at Hay Primary School. On days I had off from my high school, I would go to Hay Primary School and assist teachers that taught special education. In the classroom I would get to test fun and engaging teaching tactics that made the lessons fun and easy to understand for the kids. The students' constant success and smiles affirmed that my teaching methods were working. This experience really helped improve my communication skills as well as my levels of patience. -Assisted with the everyday duties of a teacher in special education, improving my teamwork and leadership capabilities -Established successful tools that helped students enjoy learning, crediting my ability to innovate -Controlled hostile situations that would break out between the students, familiarizing myself with an environment that can induce stress in the work place
