• Overseeing maintenance operations and personnel, ensuring the achievement of production targets • Maximising plant availability, ensuring a high level of overall time efficiency • Conducting in-depth root cause analyses of plant failures • Data analysis and reporting, developing and reviewing capital plans based • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to reduce production costs, improve process performance and maintain a safe working environment • Monitoring quality and general safety standards including ISO 9001 and NOSA • Compiling and managing operational and maintenance budgets

• Learning plant operations including cane preparation, juice extraction, boiler and power house operations, as well as juice preparation and crystallisation • Managing various profit improvement projects from feasibility to commissioning • Executing first line management function and acting middle manager when necessary • Implementing continuous improvement initiatives, FI champion for front end maintenance and operations departments
