Matthew Owen

A Chartered Accountant who qualified in 2004 with 26 years experience in the finance sector and a history in audit. Matthew started his career with Rothman Pantall & Co Chartered Accountants in Chandlers Ford, England before relocating to Sydney, Australia. He spent four years working for BDO Chartered Accountants in Sydney as an Audit Manager with a significant and varied portfolio of clients. In 2009 Matthew took the role of National Finance Manager with Firstfolio Limited. Firstfolio was an ASX listed mortgage and financial services distribution firm and one of Australia's largest independent mortgage groups. In 2012 Matthew relocated back to the UK taking the role of Financial Reporting Manager at Carnival UK at their headquarters in Southampton. In 2014 he moved into the role of Overheads FP&A Manager before taking on the role of Senior Manager, AP & Treasury in 2016. In 2018 he progressed into the IT function taking on the role of Senior Technology Commercial Manager, responsible for the commercial organisation and planning for all shore, ship and project IT, reporting directly to the CIO. In July 2023 Matthew took an interim Head of Finance role at Arqiva before joining Porthaven Care Homes as Financial Controller in May 2024.
