This includes assessing needs, assisting in the creation of detailed specifications, using a variety of competitive bidding methods, and negotiating single-source contracts. • Provide advice to all levels of internal clients including interpretation of public procurement legislation, and internal policies and procedures. • Interpret and analyze confidential competitive bidding information based on specific evaluation criteria and make award recommendations to client managers and administrators. • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior procurement and contract specialists, ensuring purchasing decisions are defensible, ethical and the best overall value to the Edmonton Police Service. • Ensure compliance with City of Edmonton and Edmonton Police Service policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with the various trade agreements such as Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CAFTA) and New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA). • Assist in the review and development of processes, policies, and procedures. • Conduct research in procurement related topics and produce summaries/reports of the findings. Research and evaluate potential sources of supply to meet current and future requirements.

• Composing or assisting in the composition of procurement documentation for goods and services. • Creating Purchase Orders and Requisitions using SAP. • Ensuring compliance with City of Edmonton policies and procedures. • Ensuring compliance with the various trade agreements such as Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT) and New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA). • Assisting clients with the development of suitable procurement strategies to meet their business requirements. • Reviewing technical and scope of work specifications. • Advising and assisting business units with contract administration. • Assisting in the review and development of processes, policies and procedures. • Conducting research in procurement related topics and producing summaries/reports of the findings. • Researching and evaluating potential sources of supply to meet current and future requirements. • Liaising with Accounts Payable to ensure that invoices are being processed accordingly. • Expediting orders to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with the terms and conditions of the purchase orders. • Providing high levels of customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.

Highly customer service oriented. Issue employee uniforms and equipment as required. Explain internal process and policy and deal with concerns regarding equipment. Maintain accurate electronic inventory records, perform cycle counts, and maintain efficient inventory storage. Organize equipment for pickup by various other departments. Assist in setting appropriate stock levels for the non-clothing portion of the warehouse and replenish stock as needed. Assist Warehouse Administrator with sourcing those new and replacement products that do not require the full contract process.

Directly responsible for all aspects related to distribution, regional warehouse and staff; as well as providing assistance to outside sales staff and the technical support department. Supervise and assist with automated and manual stock replenishment of both standard product line and custom commercial products. Inventory level planning, production scheduling, supervising inside sales/order desk. Supervise warranty approval as well as other product returns. Assist IT Manger (off site) in resolving local computer, network and telephony problems.
