I have 30 years and over 450 energy audits experience. I've been inplementing "green" strategies well before they were trendy. I deliver Holistic Energy Efficiency and Lighting Design solutions to interested people. Specialising in fixing problematic lighting, lighting controls and energy consumption of existing buildings.

Matthew is one of Australia’s leading commercial lighting effciency specialists with more than 15 years of experience in specifying, retroftting and delivering lighting solutions for clients including hospitals, universities and commercial offce buildings. Matthew’s expertise extends beyond lighting and lighting control, to a range of energy effciency disciplines. His solutions address client needs both in terms of effciency, comfort, compliance, and control. Matthew is a licensed electrical mechanic, holds a Graduate Diploma in Design Science (Illumination Design) from the University of Sydney and is a Member of the Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia and New Zealand (IES).

I specialise in reducing the lighting energy consumption while increasing efficiency and quality for people in existing buildings. Retrofitting is a speciality.

Sustainable Lighting came to be because a great energy efficient solution was going to be dumped by a large MNC. Sustainable Lighting manufactures and supplies to order the "Luxoflector" a full specular luminaire reflector custom designed to maximise luminaire efficiency (increase the LOR) primarily in troffer based luminaires. This product has a proven 21year history in Australia and was formally known here and is still known in the USA as "KW/2". The Luxoflector can be used in new and retrofitted into existing luminaires. This is where it has the greatest opportunity as there are so many buildings with existing luminaires. We can supply retrofit kits custom designed for your luminaire to reduce the energy consumption from a standard 84 or 92 Watts down to just 35Watts, That's a 58- 62% energy saving!
