I provided a comprehensive recreational program that includes leisure time activities and outdoor exercise which considers inmate interest and that all inmates receive recreational opportunities. I insured that all recreation equipment is inventoried, inspected, and maintained in proper working condition each week. I supervised 6 outside Yard Officers to insure that the recreational yards were operational and security was maintained.

As a Residential Supervisor I maintained security and a running count of the resident population. I supervised residents while working on community service restitution. My responsibilities also included transportation to job sites and medication dispensing.

As a Recreation Specialist I was responsible for the implementation and operation of a viable sports activity and development programs for all residents. I oversaw all recreational facilities and equipment. Explaining and demonstrating to detainees the proper technique and use of all equipment. I inspected recreation areas for cleanliness and safety. I conducted weekly safety training sessions with orderlies and clerks. I also taught ESL classes and Basic Computer Science.
