UDC produces small and medium caliber ammunition, energetic demolition equipment, and support munitions to US MIL SPEC. This production is performed on both sub and prime contracts at one of five UDC locations in the United States. In pseudo build-to-print applications, our value added is the engineering required to bridge the gap between an assembly with hazardous materials and incomplete tech data, to the safe and effective product it must become to be accepted and fielded by the US Military. UDC also performs this as a service to the US Government at factories located outside the United States. Outside of our role as prime contractors, we perform process and product development R&D that is yielding significant performance improvements. Some examples of where we have successfully applied our expertise are artillery ammunition and equipment for Ukraine, XM1162 and XM1163 ammunition production for US Army and USSOCOM; non-standard weapons and munitions production OCONUS for US Army and USSOCOM, weapons sustainment and depot level overhaul training for the Afghan National Army in Kabul; and non-standard rotary wing counterfeit parts prevention and overhaul. Our capability in domestic production enables our excellence in foreign material acquisition because we have the experience and expertise to know good process from bad and deliver on customer expectations in munitions and weapon systems, whether produced domestically or internationally.
