Working on the Amazon flex team to help support performance metrics. This involves doing big data analysis using Amazon web service technologies such as EMR, DynamoDB and S3 as well as open source projects such as Hadoop and Spark. I have also designed and built multiple other services that are robust and scalable using other aws technologies such as Step Functions, Cloudformation, Cloudwatch, SQS, SNS and many others.

Worked on the Media Services and Applications team to support the uploading, storing and retrieving of all media content such as images, videos and documents that are requested from customers using the retail website.

Worked in a small agile software development team creating a front end website written in Javascript, HTML and CSS, a back end server written in Java running a Jetty server accessing an Accumulo instance. - Implemented new types of data being ingested into our Accumulo database. This code change was done in our Java API making it into production. - Consolidating Backbone framework views in our Web UI to save the DOM from having too many manipulations. This change was code reviewed and pushed into production. - Implemented a D3 framework calendar heat map into our Web UI resulting in a calendar that shows how many Backbone events occurred on that specific day.

- Software Development Lifecycle - Supported the design, build and testing teams within BI throughout the solution delivery lifecycle resulting in projects being delivered on time and within budget. - SAP Business Object development - created automated reports to provide key metrics to employees and senior management, saving an hour a day worth of manual work. - Managing and coordinating with consultants, contracts and offshore teams. - Presented an open course to over 100 colleagues in Loblaw's IT department covering all IT systems architecture involved in Loblaw's supply chain process.
