Accountable for the importation of bulk petroleum and petro-chemical products via vessel into the United States while complying with proper United States customs regulations. Responsible for comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States (HTSUS) in order to properly assign the HTSUS Number for all import shipments. Prepares and processes different types of non-bulk entries including air, foreign trade zone withdrawals, and container vessels daily. Maintain thorough knowledge of United States customs regulations, procedures and documentation as well as all transportation/shipping paperwork including bills of ladings, certificates of origins, free trade agreements, commercial invoices, and packing lists. Create 1302 Automated Manifest System (AMS) filings in order to properly document import shipments coming into the United States.
