I’m the founder of eCabs, Malta’s leading ride-hailing brand, and the CEO of eCabs Technologies, a rapidly expanding SaaS platform empowering taxi dispatch centres and ride-hailing companies to transform, launch and scale in regulated markets worldwide.What started in 2010 as a premium, tech-enabled fleet in Malta has evolved into a globally focused platform business powering operations in Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Holland, Malta, Sweden and Australia.We built eCabs Technologies to solve a simple but urgent problem: legacy taxi and ride-hailing operators are being squeezed out of the market. They have three options - die slowly, get absorbed by Uber, Bolt or Lyft (Freenow), or compete and retain their autonomy. We exist for those who choose to compete and grow.The European taxi and ride-hailing industry is expanding by ~5% every year, creating space in every market, town, and city for strong local players - but only for those willing to compete at the same level as the global platforms.By providing the technology, operational tools, and playbooks, we enable our City Partners to build strong, profitable, and sustainable businesses - under their own brands, in their own markets.Our mission is to help local taxi and ride-hailing companies reclaim independence in an industry increasingly dominated by global giants.
