• Develop collision avoidance and mapping software for autonomous UAVs

• Worked in the Trimble Autonomous Solution (TAS) division as the Perception Team's LiDAR expert • Developed the LiDAR obstacle detection pipeline for TAS' level-5 autonomy stack, developed to enable self-driving heavy agricultural and construction vehicles • Helped design autonomy stack system integration and infrastructure

• Worked part-time with teenagers and young adults with Down syndrome • Helped facilitate social activities for members every week • Provided general counselling and taught life skills to members

• Developed an omnidirectional mobile robot over three months as part of a summer research scholarship • Worked at all stages of the build process including designing the prototype in CAD software, 3D-printing parts, machining the frame, wiring the electronics, and programming the motor drivers

My PhD is on autonomous robotics and mobile LiDAR mapping. The focus of the PhD is to maximize the earth-referenced accuracy of a point cloud map produced by an autonomous UGV. As a result my PhD is very broad and covers aspects of mobile robotics, mechanical design, geospatial land surveying and point cloud processing.
