About
I'm a professional "how" guy dedicated to making things happen! Before my current employer I spent 11 years working in various call center roles for AT&T, followed by about 2 years in the vacation timeshare telemarketing space. I've been with Monster since 2019, back when we had only 30-35 people. I started our outbound activation programs and ran them for about a year and a half. We weren't sure it would work - could we find a way to help guests make use of what they already bought, and turn that into a profitable business model? Turns out we can! In late 2020 I got the opportunity to work with our tech team (one other guy). I got 1 week to learn Typescript, 2 weeks to learn Angular, and I was off to the races trying to make a difference for the company and our guests! Over the next couple of years, I personally developed a number of apps that were crucial to the expansion of the company. - A confirmations app to turn an 11-minute phone call into a 90-second app interaction? Sure. It handles roughtly 60% of our confirmations work today, helping thousands of guests each week with less than a $100 monthly server cost. - A sales entry form allowing our sales partners to process sales and payments in a quick, easy, PCI-compliant way? Yep. Thousands of package sales per week in what today is a unified payment system. - A decision-making app to help team members match guests with 30 timeshare partners across 60 destinations? Done. Qualifications, weird rules, inventory quirks, unique booking processes...all handled for an easy, seamless booking experience for the team. Say, can we use cards on file from their previous transactions, across multiple platforms from our different entry points, WHILE remaining PCI compliant? Yes. Yes we can. - And the list goes on. Custom handling of blast emails. Package sales that involve texts and e-signatures. I got you! By mid 2023, we decided to expand our technology efforts. I took on the expansion and leadership of an internal dev team, where I've been lucky enough to work with some of the best devs in the business. We beat technology into whatever shape the company needs next, juggling an ever-growing number of balls to keep an ever-expanding business on track. Today we're up to around 330 internal team members in Myrtle Beach! I specialize in finding solutions to problems, imposing order on chaos, and--most of all--in making things happen. If everything wants to be on fire and someone is ready to panic, it's a sign that I'm where I can add the most value. And that's the kind of work I love!

I currently work with a team of amazing devs to help guests travel with Monster Reservations Group! Our purpose is to reduce friction between team members, guests, and providers so that everyone's experience is smooth and easy. We do business with around 30 timeshare resort companies across more than 60 destinations. Each has unique qualifications, inventory management, and booking procedures. I developed our flagship decision-making app in 2022 to reduce friction for team members so they could get more guests on vacation. Since 2024, our expanded dev team has grown and maintained it to keep pace with Monster's growth! There's a confirmations call unique to the timeshare space. It's long, it's not fun, it doesn't generate revenue, and it scales linearly. Our team made an app to reduce the process to 90 seconds. It now handles more than 60% of our confirmations work for thousands of guests who travel each week with our timeshare partners! When we expanded into the "unhooked" inventory space, Monster got the opportunity to do business with 3 different providers of resort weeks. But while one of those providers offered us an API, the two larger ones didn't know us. They declined to spend the resources on API support until we'd demonstrated an ability to drive traffic. My team put together a system of 37 "puppets" running around the clock to sync availability for more than 2,800 resorts on a 2-hour loop. We also added realtime checks and booking processes so that to our frontline team member, there was only one portal and one easy system. It wasn't perfect, but it made things happen. Our solution allowed us to drive enough traffic to show value to both larger companies, and today hundreds of guests are booked each week to their resorts...via API! These are the kinds of challenges I live for, as does my team. We're the "how" people. You give us a "what", and we'll take it from there. All with Angular, Firebase, Typescript, and a dash of AI!
