Active pharma (GMP) and food & drink product manufacturing and global logistics/distribution of naturally derived products During tenure, site achieved major safety milestones (multiple years injury-free) and quality improvements (FSSC ISO22000 global food safety standard accreditation, customer status upgrades, FMC Quality awards) Lean OE techniques such as 5S, employee engagement and visual management used to help drive performance improvement. Major restructure exercise completed 2013 aimed at improving site flexibility, service and fixed cost base.

Responsible for leading all on-site activities of rapidly-growing multisite manufacturing company of dairy hygiene, medical and nutrition products (£10M t/o, 65 employees), directly reporting into major shareholder Achieved business growth of 50% over 3 years via combination of innovation (13% of 2010 turnover new products/services), attaining value leadership in market sectors over $Bn+ multinational competitors, and export growth (> 50% growth in 2010) Business model involves supply of over 1000 products to 5 day leadtime, with high service levels achieved, to GMP (medicines / pharma) and BSI ISO 9001 quality standards.
