* Assist with Sarbanes-Oxley compliance program, involving documenting, testing, and evaluating internal controls * Assist with periodic risk assessments * Assist with determination of audit scope and objectives and development of audit programs, questionnaires, control tests and other tasks required during an audit * Assist with research, gathering and organization of information and data used to analyze and evaluate business processes and internal control structures * Perform audit tests and procedures * Assist with review of existing and development of new policies and procedures * Assist with preparation and presentation of findings and recommendations to key Alpha personnel * Assist with financial due diligence relating to acquisitions, as needed * Assist the Company’s external auditors, as needed * Perform special projects, as needed * Work in a team environment with other Alpha internal audit personnel and/or outside service providers

* Support for accounting related systems * Maintain Chart of Accounts, General Ledger and cross validation rules for company codes, cost centers, accounts, etc. * Work with users to develop standard reports through Oracle, Noetix, GL Wand, Hyperion, etc. * Assist with financial system end-user training * Assist with process improvement and automation * Perform general accounting duties as needed including preparation and posting of journal entries and related analysis * Document business requirements for accounting systems * Document internal controls and procedures within the accounting organization * Assist in monitoring compliance with and operating effectiveness of accounting policies, procedures, and controls

* ▪ Assist with audit tests and procedures, including lease compliance and coal royalty audits * ▪ Assist with oil and gas joint venture audits under Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies guidelines * ▪ Assist with research, gathering and organization of information and data used to analyze and evaluate business processes and internal control structures * ▪ Assist with preparation and presentation of findings and recommendations to management and Audit Committees * ▪ Responsible for obtaining 2009 Sarbanes-Oxley samples & documentation for external auditors

Asset & income protection and risk management planning. Life, disability, long-term care, and health insurance planning -Passed TN exam and earned license to sell life, disability, long-term care, and health insurance

▪ General accounting functions in accounts payable, inventory control, and financial reporting using Orion accounting software and MS Excel ▪ Preparation of vouchers, checking invoices for accuracy, maintaining files for revolving charges and splitting and allocating expenses
