Operations Manager
London, United Kingdom
I was responsible for the successful operational and financial management of a number of cleaning contracts at a number of high profile venues; including Liverpool FC, Silverstone Circuit, Aintree Racecourse, Cheltenham Racecourse and Haydock Racecourse. These contracts included day to day cleaning and mobilisation of event teams for each of its major events. I was also responsible for providing management support at Wembley National Stadium during events and at Olympic Park LS185 during the Rugby World Cup 2015. My achievements were met through regular and pro-active communication with on-site management, clients and agencies. I totally respect the hard work of Cleaning Operatives and so I ensure I gave those individuals time to express their opinions to ensure they feel valued and find innovative ways of improving the service to the client. I was also responsible for carrying out quality audits for the entire portfolio of contracts, providing strategies for improvements and providing feedback to board and clients. I successfully managed the company’s BICSc Accredited Training Centre, which involved developing training materials and a training plan to encompass the training of the entire day to day workforce. I was responsible for training and supervising a team of Licensed Assessors, whereby a 27% of the company’s day to day workforce completed the BICSc Licence to Practice and Accredited Cleaning Skills. I also designed a new qualification suitable for event staff which BICSc accredited and launched nationally. I also successfully prepared and took the company through ISSA’s Cleaning Industry Management Standard, the first Event Cleaning organization to successfully complete the audit in Europe. I successfully achieved the Northampton University Infection Control Certificate, which content became invaluable when managing the risk for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Head of Verification
Responsible for all Verification Team and their activities. Verification included cleaning inspections and quality audits across the UK. I was also responsible for the management of the Institute’s Regulated and Non-regulated qualifications. Following extensive consultation and market research, I have successfully designed and launched a series of new qualifications specifically to meet client and industry needs. These included Bio-Hazard Decontamination, On Premises Laundry and Vehicle Valeting. I have reviewed the existing qualifications and have implemented change where practicality and legislation require it. I have targeted and successfully improved the team’s performance in the areas of customer satisfaction and sales revenue, from new and existing customers. The team meets its financial target each year. I have my own caseload of Centres that cover the north of the UK, ensuring that those Centres maintain compliance in a challenging marketplace. I have successfully achieved this by providing valued training and instruction to those who have fallen short, or require new and innovative ways of delivery. I am also responsible for carrying out B-to-B sales to prospective customers and account management to the Institute’s most valuable organisations throughout the UK. Through negotiation and influencing decision makers, I am able to meet personal financial sales targets. In 2011 and 2013 I was appointed as a Judge for the Kimberly Clark Golden Service Awards. In 2014 I have led the Judging team in developing new judging criteria to ensure consistency amongst the judging team and fairness for those entering the competition.

Business Advisor
I am currently responsible for engaging with and developing a case load of Business Owners within the City of Liverpool. These businesses are from a wide range of sectorsl. This has been achieved by developing my own internal and external networks. I have successfully developed this new role and satisfy the needs of all stakeholders. I have successfully sourced a wide range and diverse type of Business Owners and continually receive excellent feedback. I provide a thorough and meaningful Business Needs Analysis, together with advice and support on all aspects. A particular focus is spent on recruitment, training and employee relation issues. A bespoke proposal is submitted with a number of high quality and innovative solutions which meets the business needs.
