The overall goal of the research project is to increase the transport mode share of cyclists and pedestrians in urban areas. The focus of my PHD project is to develop a new method for quantifying the surface quality of cycle- and footpaths in winter conditions. I have used this method to analyze the effect of winter cycling conditions on peoples willingness to cycle during the winter.
