Experience

Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Paris Area, France
Laboratory of Dr. Marina Glukhova Cell/matrix interactions within microenvironment involved in mammary gland development and breast cancer. - Transgenic mouse models - Stem cell biology - Cell biology assays - Cell signaling - Molecular biology

Postdoctoral Research Associate
Greater Boston Area
Laboratory of Dr. Gail E Sonenshein Breast Cancer Research: - Mechanisms involved in the invasive phenotype of breast tumors: Demonstrated the involvement of the transcriptional repressor Blimp-1 in the Epithelial-to-Mesenchymal Transition (EMT) induced by TGF-β1 in breast cancer cells and identified the bone morphogenetic protein BMP-5 as a prognostic factor for patients affected by Estrogen Receptor (ER) alpha-negative breast tumors. - Novel promising therapeutic target for the treatment of triple-negative breast cancer: Identified the role of the disintegrin and metalloprotease ADAM8 in multiple steps of breast tumorigenesis, specifically in tumor dissemination and metastasis of triple-negative breast cancer, and provided a proof-of-concept that demonstrated the benefit of targeting ADAM8 in preclinical studies using an antibody-based therapy in mouse models.

Teaching Assistant
Université de Nantes
Nantes Area, France
UFR des Sciences et Techniques Led several laboratory sections (TP) of the Bachelor’s Program in Biology/Biochemistry: - Molecular Biology (Biologie moléculaire pour les biotechnologies : L2) - Immunology (Immunologie appliquée : L3) - Purification and Modification of Biomolecules (Purification et modification des biomolécules : L3)

PhD Student
Centre de Recherche en Cancérologie Nantes-Angers (INSERM U892)
Nantes Area, France
Laboratory of Pr. Régis Bataille Supervisor: Dr. Sophie Barillé-Nion Hematological Malignancies: - Molecular mechanisms involved in the pathophysiology of Multiple Myeloma: Demonstrated the role of the anti-apoptotic protein Survivin in the oncogenesis of Multiple Myeloma, characterized its expression in primary tumor cells purified from patient bone marrow biopsies, and identified Survivin as a predictor of a poor clinical outcome for patients with Multiple Myeloma. - New potential therapeutic drug for the treatment of Multiple Myeloma: Studied the effects of the inhibition of NF-kappaB signaling pathway using a small molecule (AS602868, Merck Serono) on apoptosis/cell cycle using cell based assays and on tumor growth of Multiple Myeloma cells using a mouse model.
