Mathieu Starke

Sports. That is my life. I have always loved the world of sports. Growing up I was playing sports all the time, watching my dad play sports and just generally getting involved however I could. I have acquired my associates degree in sports management from Clinton Community College, and my Bachelor's degree in Sports Management & Public Relations from SUNY Brockport. In my time at Brockport, I have gotten to be apart of our athletics communications office, working with college athletics for everything including a national championship event. I picked up a camera in 2016 as part of a gen-ed course, and haven't looked back since. Most notable, I've gotten to work with a media outlet and shoot at the 2022 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup Final. I've also shotten Division 1 NCAA Women's Lacrosse, NCAA tournament events and conference championships. I also referee three sports; Soccer at the collegiate and semi-professional level (USL2), boys basketball & boys lacrosse at the JV level. All of these experiences have given me lots of opportunities to work with teams. I have to trust my colleagues, and manage players when emotions run high. I've had to learn to think quickly with rapidly happening situations, and communicate with individuals who don't want to be communicated with, defusing potential issues.
