Since 2008, in charge of macroeconomic research inside the trading room of BNP Cardif (200bn AuM), close to asset managers and commercial teams (ICP, AEP, ERE, ...). Even if forecasting is hard, I have not discovered the low rates phenomena around 2014 or 2015... Responsible of financial assumptions for the ALM strategic allocation (Cardif vie: general fund). I try to change the discount rate, because interest rates are falling (no easy mission). In charge of research supervision for 30 countries, both tactical and strategic allocation, and financial assumptions for budgetary purpose. Special focus on Taiwan, Argentina, Brazil, China, Poland, ... I have lunched in 2016 a equity fund named CCC (Cardif Countries Conviction) dedicated to 6 countries (now 50 millions AuM), without any FX hedging. If you want more details... I have been professor (economics), consultant (Chicago), author of various articles (Commentaire, Risques, Sociétal...) & 4 e-books (mainly about monetary policy design, the crisis viewed by a Friedmanian guy). You can see online around 200 articles for Atlantico since 2011. These days, I realize potcasts & videos with BNPP. Perhaps a book soon. I like (not in the right order) architecture, sci-fi, history, women, Italy, Rene Girard, tennis, the Alan Parsons Project, snorkeling, Philippe Muray, pyramids, Elon Musk, i comme Icar, Scott Sumner, China growth. I do not like the ECB, Trump, chees, the time running too fast, cellphones, euro, the gold market, Spain, corporate bureaucracy, people chatting around real estate, linkedIn. I believe in God, beauty, SpaceX, the death of inflation, the british monarchy, John McEneroe and Vatican. I have more doubts about Venezuela, Vladimir Putin, Macron, Deutsche Bank, Pablo Escobar, BIS, sell side research about interest rates, ECB forecasts.
