About
I’m an R&D Architect at Deutsche Telekom’s T-Labs, working on disruptive technologies that will shape the future of communication networks. My work sits at the intersection of quantum communications and optical networking, where I help translate ambitious scientific ideas into industry-relevant proof-of-concepts. I have led experimental demonstrations on field-deployed telecom fiber infrastructure, including the distribution of high-fidelity polarization-entangled photons across a metropolitan network, quantum teleportation and the development of receiver-DSP-based techniques that extract physical-layer information from coherent optical signals to support network monitoring and resiliency.Today, my main focus is the Quantum Internet: designing architectures and experiments to distribute entanglement over existing optical fiber networks, with the long-term goal of enabling future connectivity between quantum processors. I’m particularly driven by the challenge of making quantum networking practical, that is, robust, scalable, and compatible with the infrastructure already deployed worldwide.Beyond my technical work, I contribute actively through publications and talks in IEEE venues and leading conferences (e.g., OFC, ECOC), and I enjoy being a visible voice advocating for bold, future-proof network technologies.
