I was accountable for NTI & NPI program planning and execution at systems level for GE Power Hot & Harsh technology CoE. - Executed on long term strategic technologies to improve performance, reliability and availability of the gas turbines (6B, 6F, 9F, 9E, 7E, 7F, 9H, 7H, GT26, 13E2), steam turbines, boilers and BOP in Hot & Harsh conditions across MEA at plant/systems level. - Executed various Investigation and RCAs on compressor failures, fouling, stall and surges, combustor performance and failures, turbine blades, vanes, shrouds, rings and cooling flows - Executed performance studies, process design, heat rate optimization, power augmentation & design reviews - Executed part load efficiency and minimum emission compliance studies - Developed expertise in following technologies: Thermosyphon heat pipe, adiabatic cooling, double absorption cooling, GT secondary flows optimization, waste heat recovery, fuel heating, CTM, variable evaporative cooling, turbine inlet heating and cooling, turbo Charger, turbo expander etc. - Constantly interfaced with product services and commercial teams for knowledge of field issues, current bids and identification of potential technology development opportunities - Represented the overall technical interface for regional and extended-regional customers - Provided leadership and oversight of processes protecting Intellectual Property and Strategic Technology - Participated in Root Cause Analyses of the failures in and around the region, their corrective and preventive actions - Held responsible and accountable for meeting H&H CoE program schedules by working inclusively with local & global leadership, design teams and CTH community - Drove the development and application of consistent design practices and sharing of the best practices across the broader GE technical community - Provided engineering consultancy services to 10+ power plant sites regarding value realization with GE Digital Predix OPM-PI platform.
