I developed my Bachelor's and Master's Thesis in the scientific-technical area of Biology and Biomedicine of CIEMAT, participating in two research projects: - New cellular and molecular strategies with mesenchymal stem cells for the treatment of hematological and inflammatory diseases. - Effect of genetically modified mesenchymal stromal cells in hematopoietic progenitor cell transplantation. Additionally, I had the opportunity to complete the training for obtaining the certificate that allows me to carry out animal experimentation, which enabled me to develop animal models that were part of my Master's Thesis. Some of the skills acquired in the laboratory during this period: - Culture and maintenance of primary cell lines. - Lentiviral supernatant production and titration. - Transplantation of hematopoietic progenitors from mice and humans and analysis of the hematopoietic graft in transplanted recipients. - Clonogenic trials of hematopoietic progenitors. - DNA and RNA extraction, purification and quantification. Complementary DNA synthesis. - Techniques: immunoassay (ELISA), molecular biology based on PCR and qPCR, flow cytometry, plasmid amplification by bacterial transformation.
