Improved efficiency and reduced food waste at Senior Center by collecting data at each meal time about food quantity served and consumed. Also interviewed program participants about food preferences and identified operational processes for improvement. Using Microsoft Office tools, assisted in analysis of data collected by compiling and tabulating consumption and waste data noted at each meal time. Electronically shared the data with the director of the Senior Center and communicated responses from program participants. Gathered additional non-quantitative information regarding the Senior Center operations and meals by maintaining a positive line of communication with the center’s operational personnel and the program participants. The information was invaluable in data analysis and explaining anomalies in quantitative data.
