Developed and managed the largest nursing certification program in the US with over 29 exams, 12,000 plus initial exams per year, over 25,000 renewals per year and over 150,000 nurses actively certified. Provided direction for the development and evaluation of all nursing specialty exams. Served as the certification policy development and implementation staff person working directly with the Chair of the Commission on Certification. Collaborated with certifying bodies and other healthcare, policy, research, and specialty nursing organizations nationally and internationally. Directed a staff of up to twenty five including two Managers and two Assistant Directors.

Served as Accreditiaton Council member/ chair, for ABNS. Board members and President Elect of NOCA- ( now called ICE.) and URAC. Experience in accreditation, credentialing and certification.

Project Manager for numerous government and health related contracts for SAMHSA, NIDA, NIDCD and others ranging from expert panel covening for monograph develpment to educational support for national minority nursing students.

Various positions within the health care system in coronary care, education both diploma and masters level programs, and as a nurse practitoner in primary care (NP run short term medical clinic and Physician private and employee practice)

Thirty plus year history as a Flight Nurse with management level officer experience. Assignments included Office of Health Promotion at the AFRES Office of Personnel Programs- Pentagon, Assistant Chief Nurse, Desert Shield-Charleston AFB, IMA at HQ AF- Bolling AFB- DC.
