Civil Engineer for support of expeditionary military forces for the War in Afghanistan. Responsibilities include: Structural design for miscellaneous structures in wood, steel and concrete, and civil designs for roads, drainage improvements and sanitary landfill. Notable projects/features of work: Prime Power Overhead Cover, BAF – Designed steel roof cover in accordance with ICC 2009 International Building Code requirements, which include wind and seismic lateral restraint systems, beams, and footing design. Coyote Creek Drainage, BAF – Increased capacity to reduce flooding with additional steel culverts in accordance with standard hydraulic and hydrology calculations. Parwan Landfill, BAF – Designed landfill to manage solid waste for 30,000 capita in accordance with USACE Engineering Manuals. COP Dashe Towp, Afghanistan – Served as lead civil engineer to develop building and infrastructure site plans in accordance with NATO Training Mission Afghanistan standards. Also developed bid/construction documents with rough order magnitude independent government estimate.
