I worked in React, Redux, and HTML/CSS to revamp the web version of Devblock’s social media app, AppZocial. - Designed and built multiple-feeds feature and eliminated wait time for feed-loading in AppZocial Web - Diagnosed/solved image distortion and optimized image formatting on image collages of all types in AppZocial - Transformed aesthetic design of AppZocial Web with a new navigation bar, fonts, buttons, color scheme, shadows, post boxes, and other features

I worked for 8 weeks as a returning software intern for Cartogram, Inc. During this time, I improved the functionality of the positioning system in Cartogram's Android application to match the corresponding system in Cartogram's iOS app. Starting essentially from scratch, I diagnosed the reasons behind the performance differences between the two platforms, and improved the smoothness, accuracy, and responsiveness of the user location dot in Cartogram's Android maps application.

I spent 8 weeks as a software intern at Cartogram, Inc. Through full-stack development, I optimized the performance of Cartogram’s Android app. - Improved load times for building maps by 40% on Cartogram’s Android App - Created backend service for uploading Cartogram’s building map data to Google Cloud Storage - Worked with Java, PHP, SQL, Google Cloud Platform, REST APIs I learned a great deal about programming, problem solving, and how frontend and backend services work together. I am very thankful to have been able to work directly with the company’s team members and services.

I taught programming concept classes to students grades K-1 in a small classroom environment. Through board games and online platforms such as Scratch, I introduced students to concepts such as loops, conditionals, and variables.
